// GIRL GONE…..SPACKLING? || I will admit to feeling somewhat over-industrious when I decided to renovate the 70′s era albatross I currently call home. Three months into bath caulk, beveled trim work, and some popcorn ceiling repair spray that immediately obeyed the law of gravity and left me looking like a gluttonous pigeon had emptied its bowels on my head, I give up. Which left me with spackle. Many, many cans of spackle. Result? A resolution to stretch myself as an artist and delve into the world of mixed media. While I am still exploring my newest obsession, I think I have found a lifelong friend. Mixed media invites the unexplored, the unexpected, the unknown. It encourages the imaginative and adventurous to eschew the obvious and pick up that spackle with a different canvas in mind. Now THIS is fun.
